For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...
Mark 10:45
At FBK we talk a lot about serving, we call it being a #FootWasher. Now, we don't mean actually washing feet, but that Christ has called each believer to sacrificial service of others both inside and outside the church. We truly believe at FBK that every believer has been gifted and commissioned by God to serve. Therefore, we always have an ongoing list of serving opportunities, both in the church, and in our community.

What does serving entail?
Serving Inside the Church
Serving or volunteering at either campus of FBK is a big commitment. That being said, we do our best to train every volunteer for success. We also require that anyone in a primary teaching role of any age be a member of the church, and anyone who desires to serve in a ministry area that involves minors is required to pass a background check and pass child protection and ministry safety training before serving.
Serving in the Community
Not every ministry opportunity with FBK is inside the church. FBK has always had a strong commitment to being the hands and feet of Jesus in our community, and because of that we have many long standing relationships with local partners who serve the greater Dayton Ohio region. That being said, opportunities to serve with our partners in the community have a wide variety of commitments and requirements that you can investigate below.
