What To Expect

A typical service at either campus of FBK will last about 75 minutes. We sing a good mix of contemporary and traditional music that is led by our worship teams. There is kids ministry available at all service times (age 0-5th grade) and student ministry meets at 9:30am (grades 5th-12th). We also have adult classes available.  Plan to hang around after the service for a few minutes of fellowship and, if desired, you will have the opportunity to meet our pastors.

What are the steps for getting involved?

Beyond just attending worship and meeting our staff we have crafted some strategic onboarding opportunities for those who want to be a member or just find out more about us. Here are some of those environments with a short description of each. Check out the events page and select your campus to see the upcoming dates for these events.

Discover FBK

About four times a year we host a Discover lunch at each respective campus after the Sunday service. You get to meet the staff, the meal is free, childcare is available for those who sign up, and after the meal the staff hosts a brief presentation about the church with time for Q&A at the end. Check the worship guide or church events for upcoming dates and times.

FBK Membership Class

Usually hosted a week or so after each discover lunch. The FBK Membership Class is about a two hour orientation to what we believe as a church and what it means to be a member of FBK. Usually scheduled for Wednesday evening or the occasional Sunday or Saturday, check the worship guide or church events for upcoming dates and times.

Beginning at FBK

One or twice a year both campuses of FBK teach a special class for 7 weeks on what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. In this class we cover the measures of a disciple at FBK and our FBK pathway. If you are interested in this class please talk to a staff member or reach out to us via the contact page to inquire about future offerings of this class.

Serving Others

First Baptist Kettering has a long history of serving in our community and inviting the community to our campus. Through our strategic partnerships it is our goal to be the hands and feet of Jesus locally and see the gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed in our neighborhoods and in the nations.
